Lurid Bolete (Boletus luridus) on its side, so that the underneath side of the cap can be seen. It is an edible mushroom, but great caution should be taken to be sure of identification, because there are very similar species that are poisonous. It should be well cooked before eaten. It is also known as; Blanco-Dios; Dubovik obyknovennyy, Dubovik, Dubovik olivkovo-buryy, Poddubnik, or Sinyak, Bolet gryazno-buryy.
