A Pearl Crescent butterfly (Phyciodes tharos tharos) is also known as; croissant perle.
This is a Madagascan Sunset Moth (Chrysiridia rhipheus). This moth has all six of its tails. Many of them will get their fragile tails damaged or they loose them during their lives. This is a day-flying moth of the family Uraniidae. This day-flying moth has antennas tat look like those of a butterfly, and was classified as a butterfly for many years. Most entomologists consider it one of the most majestic and attractive moths. The native people of Madagascar call the moth, adriandolo and lolonandriana. These translate to noble butterfly, noble spirit, king butterfly or king spirit.
This is an Atlas Moth (Attacus atlas) which is a large Asian forest not. It is one of the largest moths in the world.
