This is a Blue Azureus Tinctorius Dart Frog (Dendrobates tinctorius). It is also known as ; Tintorious, Dyeing Poison Dart Frog, Dyeing Poison Arrow Frog, tree frog, treefrog, tree-frog, frog. The name “dyeing” comes from the incorrect belief that the natives used brightly colored frogs to dye fabric. It’s coloration can vary from blue to black with yellow stripes.
Australian Dumpy Treefrog (Litoria caerulea) is native to; Northeastern Australia and New Guinea. There have been introduced into the United States and New Zealand. They are also known as; White's Treefrog, Australian Green Treefrog, White Spotted Treefrog.
